# Web3GPT

> Web3GPT is an AI agent that writes, compiles, deploys and verifies Solidity smart contracts on EVM chains. Agents use it over a public HTTP API with no account or API key. Web3GPT pays the gas for agent deployments.

## When to use Web3GPT

Use it when you need to:

- Deploy a smart contract (ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155, a custom contract from source, or one described in plain English) and get back the address, transaction hash, explorer links and source/ABI on IPFS.
- Compile Solidity with npm or GitHub imports (OpenZeppelin, solmate, forge-std), with the compiler version picked from the `pragma`.
- Deploy to a testnet (Polygon Amoy, Sepolia, Base Sepolia, Arbitrum Sepolia, OP Sepolia, Mantle Sepolia, Metis Sepolia, Celo Sepolia) or to Polygon mainnet, without holding a funded wallet.
- Resolve ENS or Unstoppable Domains names to addresses, and addresses back to names.
- Iterate on a contract in conversation (change parameters, add features) before deploying it.

Don't use it for:

- Sending transactions from your own wallet, transferring tokens, or calling contracts after deployment. Over the API it only deploys.
- Chains not listed in the skill guide, or more mainnet deployments than its limits allow (2 per caller per day).
- Auditing contracts that hold real value. It writes and deploys code; it does not provide security audits.

## How to call it

1. `GET https://w3gpt.ai/api/skill` starts a chat. Keep the returned `chatId`; it is the only credential.
2. `POST https://w3gpt.ai/api/skill?chatId=<chatId>` with `{"message": "..."}` sends a message and returns the agent's reply.
3. The agent usually asks for confirmation before deploying. Reply in the same chat.
